Stars shines on stage: Kilian Garrido Usach and Joan Mateu Diaz


When it comes to classical music, there's always a stage for young, talented musicians to shine. That's certainly the case with Kilian Garrido Usach and Joan Mateu Diaz, two incredible musicians who won World Classical Music Awards for their outstanding performances. Not only have they earned recognition from the music world, but they've also given hope to young musicians everywhere that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.



Last October 26, Kilian Garrido Usach and Joan Mateu Diaz performed with the Dreamers Orchestra at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, accompanied by an impressive choir and numerous soloists. The group consisted of 60 members, two of whom had already received recognition from the World Classical Music Awards in previous years. Joan Mateu Diaz, a percussionist, won the Platinum Prize in season 3 of 2023, while Kilian Garrido Usach, a trombonist, won the Gold Prize in season 2 of 2022. These two young musicians were clearly on the fast track to success, and their hard work had paid off in spades.








Joan Mateu Diaz began his musical studies in solfege, piano, and percussion at the age of 7. At the age of 14, he joined the prestigious High-Performance Music School, ESMAR Valencia, where he received lessons from renowned professors such as Javier Eguillor, Raúl Benavent and Conrado Moya. His dedication and the guidance of his teaching team have allowed him to perform in various auditoriums, including the Palau de Les Arts in Valencia, and he has received awards such as the one granted by the World Classical Music Awards, where he achieved the Platinum Award in the category corresponding to his age.







Kilian Garrido Usach's dedication to the trombone is evident in his pursuit of a professional degree in music and a Trombone Pedagogy Superior Degree at Conservatori de Llíria and ESIM Música, Mislata, respectively. His journey has been enriched by participation in international projects, congresses, and collaborations with distinguished musicians. His unwavering dedication, passion, and exceptional talent position him for a promising future in the world of music.
