Hailing from a nation renowned for its rich musical heritage,
Lenka is a young percussionist from the Czech Republic. She studied percussion instruments at the conservatory in Brno in the class of Vladimír Třebický and Ctibor Bártek. She also studies at the Janáček Academy of Musical Arts in the class of Professor Martin Opršál, also in Brno. In music, she is mainly interested in contemporary music, classical music, but also works in several bands. She won a competition to play with the symphony orchestra on the Brno Conservatory with the composition 'Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra' by Kevin Beavers. She also performed this piece at the Smetanova Litomyšl International Festival. She also won Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition with this recording.
